Two unidentified women, on Tuesday afternoon, lost their lives in a lone accident involving a Toyota Hiace bus at the Sagamu end of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
The vehicle, a 14-seater commercial bus, Tribune Online gathered was heading to Lagos from Ilorin, the Kwara State capital before the driver who was not visible at the scene of the accident lost control of the vehicle which made it to somersault severally, leading to the death of the two women and injuring other passengers.
One of the women who died in the accident was with a five-year-old boy who did not sustain any injury and could not give tangible information about himself and his deceased mother, but only wept uncontrollably watching his mother’s lifeless body.
As of the time Tribune Online left the scene of the accident, there were no officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the Nigerian Police on the ground to carry out rescue and evacuation operations.
