FOR enabling the Buhari catastrophe simply because of his selfish presidential ambition, Mr. Bola Tinubu should not have been rewarded with the Nigerian presidency, if not by men, at least by God. But Isaiah 55:8-9 has settled that mystery.

It was the same way General Muhammadu Buhari should not have enjoyed a peaceful transition to power from GEJ after he practically led an arm struggle against the Nigerian State because, again like Tinubu, of his selfish presidential ambition. The corps members and others killed in the violent aftermath of his election losses which he orchestrated and launched, weren’t baboons and dogs. They were children, fathers, mothers and loved ones of their bereaved families. Protesters don’t need to incinerate him inside his Daura mansion (I hope the helipad built there with public fund purposely for him to come home straight from Aso Rock as president so he would not have to interact with the same everyday Northerner he claims to love, is still in use. SMH). For his kind, their conscience is enough. After the Thursday attack on his house by the same Northern talakawas and almajirai he biasly catered to in the eight years of his ruinous presidency, I hope the futility of his murderous struggle for power would now be better communicated to him in the privacy of his heart and he would begin the process of self-healing and spiritual restitution by daily asking for mercy for the damage his ambition has done everywhere including to himself. The god is now naked.

There are times God out of His love for us, won’t allow us fulfil certain heart desires, even if lifelong. Simply because He knows the ending from beginning and our capacity and maturity for certain blessings and assignments. But instead of asking him, we keep pushing, seeking by all means and because He has given man free-will to do as he wishes as long as he can live with the consequences, He yields such an unyielding fellow to His permissible will. No doubt, the fellow is gonna return with regrets.

A notable noble Nigerian, who was seeking a New Nigeria that works, didn’t have Mr. Tinubu for president in his works during the campaigneering last year. But God came candidly to him in a vision that suggested He was releasing the seat to the APC flagbearer in what would appear like His permissible will. Then in the vision this statesman saw himself impressing it on Mr. Tinubu that he MUST show fidelity to his promises to the people of Nigeria. Then he woke up.

This statesman is not a prophet and not a trumpet-sounding churchgoer. But he lives in the fear of God and always willing to do His will. Jesus says his kind, are those who genuinely love Him. God constantly shares His plans with such people. Abram was minding his business when God visited and told him about His plan to bring Sodom and Gomorrah to ruins and lay them in desolation, because of their LGBTQ promotion, participation and projection. I pray it won’t be too late for the West and their European accomplices as well as Africans, particularly Nigerians who think they have become too learned and educated for God and His ways.

This great Nigerian I spoke about earlier didn’t deliver the consequences of broken vows to the man who eventually became president in the vision, but it is expressly stated in the Word of God, both in Deuteronomy 23:21-23 and Ecclesiastes 5:4-5.

The bottom line is that anyone making promises he isn’t going to fulfil, especially when God is in it, as a Witness, is deemed a fool in the spirit realm and since the spiritual rules the physical, all the acts of the fellow in the physical, rooted in conventional wisdom, will keep producing foolishly-looking results. Ahithophel is a real example in the Bible. 2 Samuel 16 & 17 provide a witness.

Since May 29, last year when the president fell into the error of “subsidy is gone” extempore, hasty and thoughtless pronouncement, he has practically offered a combo of almajiriand prodigal leadership, just throwing rice and money to the hydra-headed existential consequences of his three-pronged errors in the finance, energy and power sectors. Dear Mr. President, that cash, rice and recharge cards got you the presidency is never a guarantee they would work governance magic. By now, it must have been obvious to you that nothing beats proper planning. Jesus rhetorical asked who is that man who would want to build a tower and would not first sit to count the cost, so he would not be put to shame if he can’t complete due to lack of resources.

Sir, the “spirit” that you said came upon you at Eagle Square during your inauguration, going by the “fruits” so far, couldn’t have been of God and if from Him, since He is the C-in-C of all forces, then your experience would be something close to what happened to King Saul when the Spirit of God departed from him.

When the prodigal son failed, he returned to base for a fresh start. The policy of “subsidy is gone” has failed spectacularly. Now with the benefit of hindsight, the President had more than energy sector in mind, making that infamous pronouncement as a rookie president. Then he unfurled like a cobra sighting its target, throwing homes into daily wailing. As a billionaire businessman (though apart from his media empire which doesn’t spin billions, it is difficult to pinpoint Mr. Tinubu’s direct business investments in Nigeria), before berthing at Aso Rock, there are suspicions he is deliberately pushing more money into sectors where he and his friends have investments like Oil and Gas, Discos and Financial Institutions, by appearing to end subsidy regimes in these sectors, making people to pay more, only to reintroduce the subsidies through the backdoor.

Well what is hidden from man is open and known to God and a time would come when God would say “I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt (Nigeria) and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows. And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians…Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Nigeria (Israel) is come unto me and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians (Nigerian taskmasters) oppress them”. (Exodus 3:7-9).

Whenever God steps into agonizing wailings, there are bounds to be miracles and plagues. Even the plagues, are always miraculously wrought. It becomes a more dangerous situation if the oppressors are stiff-necked on their own, when mercy can still answer. In fairness to Pharaoh, it was God that stiffened his opposition to Israel’s freedom, because mercy had ceased for him, prompting God’s resolve to take him out permanently and make his memory bitter even among his own, considering that all Egyptian families lost their first sons to his intransigence.

When someone loses his way in Yorubaland, the elders would counsel with iyan di atungu, obe di atunse (reworking the formula/plan). President Tinubu is an elder of the race no matter what anybody feels about him. He also appears steeped in the Yoruba beliefs so he must understand why fallen elders should look back.

This is not the time for alimajiri governance of 1kg rice for a household of 10. Enough of demeaning poor copycatism of food stamp. N5,000 jeunsoke distribution must also stop. Nigeria is not Lagos and it is not every state that sires Mc Oluomo and co. Food prices must crash for family purchasing power to be meaningful again. Even if opening the borders straightaway is considered a rock science, let’s blast it. It should be elementary sense for a man without enough to look elsewhere for reasonable more. Delay is dangerous.
