The management of the Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, Ogun State, has announced the resumption of academic activities for the 2020/2021 academic session on Tuesday, 9th November 2021.
According to a statement by the university’s public relations officer, Ayotunde Odubela, the second semester examination will resume on Wednesday, 10th November 2021.
Academic activities, including the semester examination, were suspended on Friday, October 29 and students were asked to vacate the campus to forestall breakdown of law and order.
The University Senate’s decision to shut the institution temporarily followed a day-long demonstration by students against what they termed the illegal arrest of some of their colleagues, including the president of the Students Union, by men of the Nigerian Army from Ilese barracks.
The university has advised students to remain law-abiding and peaceful as they return to the campus for the conclusion of their examinations.
