STANBIC IBTC Pension Managers has unveiled the second edition of its talent hunt show, FUZE 2.0, where winners in the Music, Dance, Fashion and Technology between the age of 18 and 35 would win N32 million.
At at a media briefing to announce the Talent hunt at the weekend, Olumide Oyetan, the Chief Executive of Stanbic Pension Managers, explained that the FUZE initiative underscores the company’s dedication to nurturing creativity and innovation among young Nigerians.
He explained that for this year’s edition, Stanbic has gone further to infuse a two-week boot camp into the show to allow 28 finalists to hone their skills and compete for a slice of this year’s N32 million prize money.
“With the help of our expert judges – Banke Kuku for Fashion, Ric Hassani for Music, Bunmi Olunloyo for Dance, and our very own Dr Stanley Jacob judging the tech category, we will be rewarding 12 brand new finalists at the grand finale on December 23, 2023 at the Livespot Entertarium, Lagos,” he said.
“This year, we are coming back even bigger and better with exciting acts that will be unveiled closer to the big day. We will also have our exciting market place where guests can shop for their favourite fashion and lifestyle pieces, amid lots of food and drinks,” he added.
Oyetan also announced that recently Stanbic IBTC FUZE was announced the Judges’ Choice Award Winner for Excellence and Innovation in Communication and Engagement at the 2023 World Pension Summit in The Netherlands, while appreciating the over 3,000 young men and women who entered for the FUZE Talent Hunt in 2022 and the over 8,000 people who attended the FUZE Festival in December 2022.
Nike Bajomo, the Executive Director, Business Development, Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers, explained that the talent hunt is a way of encouraging the youth to showcase their talents, as well as empowering the youth, while noting that Stanbic has invested in bringing on board, professionals in the music, fashion, dance and tech industry who would groom the contestants to bring out their best.
