My 30-year-old son who is still unemployed after his University education has been smoking Indian Hemp for some years now. To my disappointment, I recently discovered that he has added other drugs to his list of addictive drugs. I have tried all I can to help him kick this bad habit but I have not made any progress. Kindly help me.

Drug addiction is one of the most difficult medical issues to manage in view of the several factors that may have originally led to the problem. It is very obvious from your explanation that whatever method you were previously using to manage your son’s problem has not been working and you will therefore need to change it. Apart from a very good family support, your best approach to the problem will be for you to seek the services of experts in drug addiction management. This you can access at the nearest Specialist or Teaching Hospital nearest to you.
