Ogagbe Blessing Oghenechovwe, professionally known as 2 MILLY STAR, has released his debut extended play (EP), a collection that fuses autobiographical storytelling with contemporary Nigerian sound.

The six-track project incorporates elements of Afrobeats, urban pop, and melodic rap, offering a snapshot of the artist’s personal and creative evolution.

Drawing on his upbringing in Delta State and his experiences navigating modern Nigerian youth culture, the EP explores themes of ambition, resilience, and identity.

Tracks such as Therapy, Fasa, and Lightdup are set against polished production, while Jebson, a collaboration with emerging artist Kayx, adds a collaborative dimension to the release.

In discussing the project, 2 MILLY STAR described it as “a snapshot of who I am and where I’m headed,” reflecting its dual role as both a personal record and a career statement.

Music critic Ifeoma Daniels called the EP “a measured first step that reveals potential,” while cultural commentator Tunde Adebayo noted that it “shows promise, but relies on familiar formulas within the Afrobeats genre.”

By opting for a full EP rather than releasing singles, 2 MILLY STAR signals an intent to establish a lasting musical catalogue.

Whether the project secures a place for him in Nigeria’s competitive music industry remains to be seen, but its thematic cohesion and clear sense of identity suggest an artist aiming for more than fleeting relevance.
