Following the misunderstanding between the host community of Gyawana hosting the Dangote Savanah Sugar Company in Lamurde LGA of Adamawa State on the 15th July 2021, during which many people were injured by the Nigerian army who were invited by the management of the company, the people of the area are demanding an indefinite shutdown of the Company pending when all issues concerning re-occurring clashes with the military and other security agencies are amicably resolved.
This according to the people, will allow all the contending parties to agree in the interest of the host community and the company just it will help in identifying those who are the cause of these clashes and are made to face the full wrath of the law
The decision of the community was made known by the Gyawana Concerned Group, the host community of Sahavana Suger Company owned by Dangote Group, in a press briefing in Gyawana, Lamurde local government area of Adamawa State, on Wednesday.
