Red eyes and covid-19

I recently noticed that my two eyes suddenly became red. Somebody told me that this could be a sign of COVID 19. Kindly let me know what to do.

Medical experts believe that 1%-3% of people with COVID-19 will get conjunctivitis, also called red eye. The condition happens when the virus infects a tissue called conjunctiva, which covers the white part of your eye or the inside of your eyelids. However, an important difference between COVID-19 and sudden onset of red eye is the presence of fever. Fever is common in people with the coronavirus, but not in those suffering from red eyes. Sudden development of red eyes can occur when the tiny blood vessels on the surface of the eyes expand and turn the whites of one or both eyes a pink or reddish tint. Many things can cause it, like untreated high blood pressure, a night of heavy drinking, or a physical injury to your eye. A thorough medical examination is important to know the correct diagnosis.
