Police have arrested a man who attempted to set the German city of Dresden mosque on Tuesday evening.
According to a police spokesperson, the man spilled petrol in front of a mosque and tried to set the building on fire.
Witnesses called the emergency services number when they saw the man spilling petrol outside the mosque, which was well-attended at the time.
The 34-year-old guy was detained, and the police are currently investigating his attempted aggravated arson.
The same person is said to have burned a copy of the Holy Qur’an in a mosque in April, though his motive was initially unclear.
