Economic activities and others were on Tuesday grounded in Ebonyi State as banks, schools, markets, shops, filling stations were shut.
This is following the sit-at-home home order declared by Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) over the ongoing trial of its leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, by the federal government.
Some of the major roads visited by Tribune Online including Waterworks, Ogoja, Azugwu, CAS Campus, New Market road, Union Bank/government House roads were all deserted as very few tricycles, motorcycles and cars were seen plying the roads.
At the Government House, Abakaliki, all the offices were closed and no staff was seen. Many markets within the state were also deserted.
However, security agencies were seen at strategic places to maintain law and order at the time of filing this report.
