Following the launch of the first set of its Ecostay Apartments on Wednesday, the management of Pelican Valley Nigeria Limited has embarked on a series of thanksgiving to God for the immense goodwill and success the firm has enjoyed in the last 10 years.
On Friday, the team visited the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library OOPL Central Mosque, Abeokuta, where the Chief Imam, Sheikh Al-Imam Ahmad Olajide, expressed confidence in Adeyemo and the feat his firm has achieved in the real estate business.
He also enjoined the Muslim faithful to join Adeyemo to thank Almighty Allah on the successful commissioning of the first sets of Eco-friendly Apartments.
“We Muslims are very proud of Ambassador (Dr.) Babatunde Adeyemo because he portrays the teachings of Islam in his business, and he is a good ambassador of the Islamic community,” he said.
Similarly, on Sunday, the team visited the Mount Zion Baptist Church Onikolobo, Abeokuta, where its Director of Operations, Tpl Olumide Akintomide, is a member, to thank God for how God spared the company from getting involved in any civil or criminal litigation, police case and unethical or fraudulent business practices.
MD/CEO of the firm, Adeyemo, described the Pelican Valley as “God’s project,” and used the avenue to provide support to the church’s children and additional support for 10 widows from the church every year under the scope of the Okó Opó Foundation, which he equally heads.
The Under Shepherd of the church, Revd. Moses Gbolahan Oyinlola, commended the firm for choosing the church as the place to express gratitude to God for His benevolence and blessings over the years, especially over the successful launch of Ecostay Apartments.
“We thank you for your donation to this church and the slots given to us to empower some of our members who are widows. We pray to God to replenish your wealth, uphold your family and continue to grow your company,” Oyinlola said.
Given the rationale for the series of events, Adeyemo said the firm’s clients cut across the two major religions.
He also revealed to make Ecostay Apartments a tourist site where a weekly event will be organised in the next 22 months for people to unwind and enjoy the comfort of a serene environment.
“We have been in the real estate business for 15 years unofficially and 10 years officially. We have no record of fatal cases, we didn’t get ourselves involved in unethical business practices and we have never even been to any court for any case. We have not been to the police station.
“To crown it all, God has delivered the project for us, including the launch of the Ecostay Apartments,” he added.
