Empowerment materials worth several thousands of Naira have been procured and donated to Doya Youth Empowerment and Vocational Training Center in order to enhance the training of youth and women in the area of self-employment.
The donation of the materials was made by a chieftain of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bauchi State, Alhaji Sani Shehu popularly known as ‘Sanin Malam’, saying that the gesture was his little contribution to the fulfillment of the agenda of the present administration in the state.
While speaking further at the occasion, Sani Shehu said that the distribution of the empowerment materials is to support the efforts of Governor Bala Mohammed at reducing unemployment, by addressing poverty in the society.
In his remark, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Security Matters, Mr Markus Koko Yake enjoined the beneficiaries to embrace technology in order to actualize their full potentials, considering the fact that the world has now gone digital.

He attributed the maintenance of peace and security in Doya quarters to the engagement of youths in the area into various useful ventures noting with satisfaction, the foresight of Sanin Malam for coming up with the initiative, describing it as a welcome development.
Earlier, the Chairman, Doya Youth Empowerment and Vocational Training Center, Malam Sunusi Yusuf Abdullahi expressed gratitude to the chieftain of the PDP for the gesture, saying it will go along way in assisting the centre to achieve its set objectives.
