DIRECTOR-General, Oyo State Advertising and Signage Agency (OYSAA), Temilola Adibi, has sought the cooperation of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Oyo State Command, in order for the agency to function efficiently.

Adibi, who led other top officials of the agency on a visit to the Oyo State Commandant of the NSCDC, Mr Iskilu Akinsanya, in his office on Tuesday, noted that OYSAA is seeking collaboration with the NSCDC in the area of security for its personnel who are vulnerable to assault while on revenue collection duty.

He stated that: “The partnership we are entering into is for the protection of our personnel. I want to appeal rather than use force to effect payment especially by first parties who are artisans and the rest of them.

“Let me also state that the state governor, Mr Seyi Makinde is working on ways to bring relief to the first parties by considering the possibility of slightly reducing what they pay annually. And I must say that this can only be considered if the parties concerned cooperate with the government by paying their dues promptly and fully.”

The NSCDC Commandant, while commending the approach of Adibi and his team, said the NSCDC is ready to provide the necessary security back up needed by OYSAA to function effectively but hinted that adequate notification is of importance whenever the services of the men of the command are needed.

Top officials of OYSAA who accompanied the DG on the visit are Director of Administration and Supplies, Mrs Adebukola Olajire-Akinrinade and Director, Finance and Accounts, Mr Adebayo Sarafadeen Bankole.
