Former Osun State Governor, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, on Monday sent a condolence message to the family of an elder in the state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Adebayo Ajeigbe, who died on Sunday.
Prince Oyinlola also paid a condolence visit to the traditional rulers of Ajeigbe’s hometown, Ororuwo in the Boripe Local Government Area of the state.
The former governor, who described the deceased as a respected community leader and a worthy elder in the PDP, prayed for the repose of his soul.
“The news of Chief Ajeigbe’s death, sudden as it came, was received by us with shock and disbelief. He was a friend of our family and a political associate spanning many years.
“Our years of relationship with the late chief showed him as a stickler for principles and a passionate community leader. His exit was a blow to all of us in the People’s Democratic Party who had him as a respected leader. We’ve all been made poorer by his death,” Prince Oyinlola said in a message addressed to the widow of the deceased, Justice A.A. Ajeigbe.
