NO fewer than 13 inmates who escaped from Abolongo Custodial Centre of the Nigeria Correctional Service in Oyo State have been re-arrested by the Osun State Police Command.
According to police spokesperson, Mrs Yemisi Opalola, gave the names of the inmates as Adekanbi Kola, Semiu Sali, Garuba Nurudeen, Ismaila Garuba, Nasifi Garuba, Qadri Yusuf, Ezekiel Owolabi, Bamidele Kehinde, Daodu Emmanuel, Dele Babatunde, Adeyemo Ifalowo, Ridwan Akinsola, and Sola Owolabi.
“Those arrested will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Osogbo for proper handing over,” she said.
Meanwhile, those arrested, according to findings, were apprehended in Ejigbo of Ejigbo local government of the state while trying to mingle with residents.
It was gathered that inhabitants of the town alerted the police on the development and made it possible for the police to re-arrest them.
