One person was reportedly killed and several others injured during a clash between boys of the Park Management System (PMS) and some boys of one Alhaji Hamidu popularly called Were at Ali-Iwo/Oje area of Ibadan on Tuesday evening.
For several minutes, residents of the area scampered for safety as gunshots rent the air while various weapons were used freely in the duel between the two sides.
Reports were varied on who first launched the attack with some saying that Auxiliary stormed the base of Were and others stating that it was the Were boys who attacked on sighting Auxiliary boys wearing Auxiliary and Seyi Makinde branded vests.
In several videos and pictures, made available to the Nigerian Tribune, people were seen with machete cuts, blood stains.
In another audio circulated, Were was heard condemning Auxiliary for shooting and killing one of his boys with threats of reprisal.
Policemen were said to have come in to arrest the situation and restore calm in the area.
Phone calls to the State Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso were unanswered as of the time of filing this report.
