‘O Kingdom Come’, an award-winning book and YouTube web series which was released last year to rave reviews and critical acclaim, has announced an art competition tagged ‘As Above So Below’.
According to Michael Omare of 2nacheki TV, and who reviewed the book, O Kingdom Come’ is ‘a revival in the art of storytelling’.
Riding on their train of successes, the organisers now seek to leverage the momentum to spotlight a critical piece of the storytelling process, the artists.

The competition aims to spotlight incredible talents across the globe using the book and its online web series on YouTube as references to inspire their art in their style.
Adedayo Erivic, an African comic book artist/creator, also founder of the Comics Archive Africa and Comic Con Ibadan said, “CG Africa and Comic Con Ibadan are organising this art competition to select artists who can reinvent ‘O Kingdom Come’ scenes from the book and web series. Submissions must be in grayscale and colour to be considered in the highly competitive contest. Artists from from across Africa and the world have a shot at becoming our best artist.”
The winner of the competition stands to win a cash prize of $500, among other consolation gifts.
Finalists will be announced on March 30 at the annual Comic Con event in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Artists can enter the contest by following and using references found on the ‘O kingdom com’ official social media handles, YouTube and website pages.
