Sultry actress, Tolulope Oke is poised to attract the cream of London society to the premiere of her latest movie, “Giant “(Omiran), and further reinforce her bourgeoning reputation as a notable Nollywood thespian highly adored by the African community in the United Kingdom.
Oke, who has a great antecedent in her movie premieres in London, having recorded unprecedented success with the premiere of “Adun”, her highly hilarious and educative production in 2014 and “Bi Ala”, her ground breaking production in 2012, is leaving no stones unturned in ensuring a hitch-free success.
“The guests at the premiere will be treated to a night of fun, class and panache,” she hinted adding: “It will be a night to remember as all efforts are geared towards surpassing the success recorded in my previous premieres.”
Oke is the star actress in the new movie which parades some of the best actors in the industry including Femi Adebayo, Funsho Adeolu, Muyideen Oladapo, Rose Odika, to mention a few.
A graduate of Sociology from the University of Lagos, Oke hails from Osun State and started her acting career in 2006. To further hone her craft, she enrolled for a course in Dramatic Arts and consequently bagged a diploma from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife.
The versatile actress has a long list of productions to her credit. She starred in “Zone 222”, an M-Net TV series directed by Rogers Ofime. In 2014, she featured in “Dazzling Mirage” produced by award-winning movie veteran, Tunde Kelani and in the subsequent year, she produced “Home Sick”, a sequel to “Adun”, in London.
Other movies to her credit include “Agidi”, “Omo Oko”, “Akoba Waidi”, “Kutu Kutu”, “Tee Kay”, “Kosofe”, “Awure Eni”, “Orin Dola”, “Ijoba Osekan”, “Simisola”, “Efin”, “The Score” and “Eje”.
“Giant”, shot as a contemporary movie in Ibadan, Nigeria, runs for almost one and half hours. Oke plays the role of Ayinke who is enmeshed in a love affair with a deceptively-gentle Raphael Olakunle-Collins (Femi Adebayo)-a drug king pin keenly being investigated by the cops. Ayinke discovers his dirty secrets, and suddenly, the centre can no longer hold for the drug lord. The plot thickens, unraveling Raphael as the unscrupulous element he truly is.
Oke is currently in London making preparations for the premiere which holds next month. She disclosed that the event is being supported by Godfather Promotions and Naija FM Radio Station, London.
