Speaking at the annual programme of the church with the theme: 21 Century Power at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, on Friday, Brainard said Nigerians should not relent in their prayers for the ailing president, Muhammadu Buhari, and the restoration of peace in the country.
“I urge every Nigerian to pray against any crisis that may arise, especially between the Igbo and Hausa. I want to charge political leaders and the Federal Government to speak with the citizens, and not to give room for any situation that may lead to ethnicity or religious crisis,” he said.
The programme featured ministration by the guest minister from South Africa, Prophet Lethebo Rabalago, while gospel singers, including Yinka Ayefele, Mike Abdul, Psalm Ebube lifted the souls of the audience.
The cleric noted that the programme was a vision from God to liberate people from bondage and afflictions, as well as to propagate the gospel of Christ to all and sundry, adding, “I am glad that the event became a success as its motive was indeed achieved and I am convinced that God is happy and pleased with the ministry.”
