As Nasarawa state residents join other Nigerians to vote their President and National Assemblies, Election materials said to have arrived late in most polling units in the state.
Our correspondent in Lafia, reports that materials arrived polling units at about 8:30 am, as INEC officials were seen accompanied with security operatives into various centres.
At Lugun Wambai polling unit that has about 1143 registered voters, electorates assembled as early as 6:00 am waiting patiently to discharge their civic responsibilities.
Adamu Albudulahi, who is to cast his vote there, told Tribune Online that; “we were here for over three hours, expecting INEC officials to arrive and they finally did. That shows election will commence soon, all we want is peaceful electoral exercise, that is all”.

At Kofar Fada poling units, Gayam ward, INEC officials were seen sorting out materials as about 9:30 am under the supervision of security operatives, civil society, and party’s agents.
The election has commenced in most polling units about 10.00am across the state and was peaceful and smooth.
There was no restriction of movement in the state capital, as people were seen going about their normal duties.
