Nigeria@64: Musawa pledges to boost creative economy

The Minister of Art, Culture and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa reiterated commitment towards the implementation of initiatives that foster skills development, policy frameworks, governance, and collaboration to stimulate growth and international recognition of Nigerian talents.

Musawa who gave the assurance in a statement issued to commemorate Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day Anniversary, showered encomium on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the establishment of the Ministry.

The Minister also optimism in the Ministry’s ability towards actualisation of the diversification of the Nigeria’s economy through the creative industry, by leveraging on the country’s rich cultural heritage to drive growth and development.

She observed that the creation of the Ministry of Art, Culture and the Creative Economy underscored President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s recognition of the critical role the creative industry plays in driving economic growth, cultural preservation, and national development.

She expressed gratitude to the President for his unwavering support and commitment to the creative sector, pledging to work tirelessly to ensure the ministry’s objectives are achieved.

“I extend my heartfelt appreciation to the good people of Nigeria as we mark the nation’s 64th Independence Day anniversary.

“We celebrate our nation’s resilience and strength and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s visionary leadership, particularly the establishment of our Ministry, which demonstrates his commitment to Nigeria’s creative sector.

“As we mark this milestone, we reaffirm our dedication to promoting Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage and creative industries.

“The Ministry of Art, Culture and the Creative Economy is committed to implementing initiatives that foster skills development, policy frameworks, governance, and collaboration to stimulate growth and international recognition of Nigerian talents.
