Nigeria records 388 new cases of COVID-19, total now 187,023

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has recorded 388 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 187,023.

The NCDC disclosed this on its official Facebook handle on Sunday.

“388 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-166, Akwa Ibom-89, Rivers-76, Oyo-15, Edo-12, Benue-11, Delta-7, FCT-4, Ogun-4, Kaduna-2, Gombe-1, Nasarawa-1.

“187,023 confirmed, 168,455 discharged, 2,268 deaths.

“Today’s report includes; Confirmed cases for Akwa Ibom State for 21st and 22nd August 2021, Backlog of confirmed cases for Benue State from 4th – 14th August 2021, 0 cases from Ekiti, Kaduna, Kano, Ondo, Plateau and Sokoto States.”
