There are high expectations and anxiety in Nasarawa State, as the Appeal Court sitting in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has finally fixed Thursday, November 23, 2023, for the much-awaited judgment in the Nasarawa State governorship election dispute between Governor Abdullahi Sule of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and David Ombugadu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The judgement will be delivered by 9 am.
In a serve of appeal No CA/MK/EP/GOV/NS/30/2023, sent by the Election Desk Officer, Mr. Nasiru Alhassan and obtained by Nigerian Tribune on Wednesday in Lafia, the state capital, said that “judgement notice between Governor Abdullahi Sule, Mr. Emmanuel David Ombugadu and three others, comes up on 23/11/2023 at Court of Appeal, Abuja Division, Holden at Abuja at 900 am.”
Tribune Online recalls that the court had on November 15, 2023, reserved judgment in the appeal by Governor Sule who is challenging his removal by the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Lafia the state capital.
Findings by our correspondent, however, revealed that only ten political party supporters from each of the contending parties will be allowed to enter the premises of the appeal court.
