The Osile of Oke -Ona Egba, Oba Dr Adedapo Tejuoso, has ascribed his 86 years sojourn on earth to his faith in God that has kept him aging gracefully.
He stated this on Monday during a programme tagged “God’s Festival” and the 7th edition of Praise Unlimited which featured gospel artistes which included Chief Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi; Sola Allison; Senwele Jesu among others, to mark his 86th birthday, held at Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), Abeokuta.
The monarch expressed his gratitude to God for blessing him with a long and fulfilling life, emphasizing the importance of spiritual beliefs in his journey.
Speaking at the event, former Nigerian Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Sarafa Isola, described Oba Tejuoso, as a transformational ruler, adding that his reign has transformed the Oke-Ona of Egbaland.
“It is by the grace of God that Kabiesi is still standing today. After 80, a lot of people usually have health challenges because all the organs have been working 24 hours a day. This is worthy of celebration.
“What is importance in this life is that people must be celebrated at their old age because you do that. It gives them a sense of fulfillment not until he dies. Kabiyesi is a man of many parts, an accomplished medical doctor, a great father and a transformational ruler of Oke-Ona.”
