THE governor-elect of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has assured the state workforce of not reneging on the pact he signed with them during the electioneering campaign.
Abiodun in e-statement by his spokesperson, Hon. Remmy Hazzan, made available to newsmen in Abeokuta, on Wednesday, stated that workers welfare remained one of the cardinal objective of his administration from May 29.
The governor-elect felicitated with Labour unions on the occasion of the 2019 Workers Day celebration, assuring them of the establishment of Labour and Productivity that would positively engage workers and improve their productivity and welfare.
He also promised that the incoming government would restructure the Contributory Pension Scheme and equally inaugurate State and Local Government Pension Board.

Abiodun added that his administration would build Labour Estates for workers across the state.
“I write to convey my warm felicitations and best wishes to all workers and members of the Labour movement in Ogun state on the occasion of this year’s Workers Day celebrations.
“I am particularly happy that this year signals a positive turn around for our persevering workers as my government, starting by May 29, 2019, is poised to put workers’ welfare as a cardinal focus of our administration.
“Let me seize this opportunity to reiterate my belief that the civil service, the engine upon which government runs, will not be taken for granted. Under my watch, I shall ensure that all cadres of workers get the best attention they deserve,” he said.
