Kano deputy gov commends AKCILS on new degree programme

The Kano State Deputy Governor, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, has commended the management of Aminu Kano College of Islamic and Legal Studies (AKCILS) for its efforts in launching a degree programme in Shari’a and Legal Studies.

Comrade Gwarzo, who also serves as the Commissioner for Higher Education, made the commendation while receiving a delegation led by the Provost of AKCILS, Professor Balarabe Abubakar Jakada, in his office.

He expressed his gratitude to the delegation for their visit and reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to supporting the development of the college.

Professor Jakada briefed the Deputy Governor on the college’s readiness to commence its degree programmes, highlighting the significance of this milestone for the institution’s growth and academic excellence.

The Provost also expressed his gratitude for the Deputy Governor’s continuous support and emphasised the college’s commitment to its vision for the future.

AKCILS has been actively working towards expanding its academic offerings, and this new degree programme is a significant step forward.

The meeting was a follow-up to the Deputy Governor’s attendance at the Maiden National Congress Meeting and Fundraising Event organised by the AKCILS Alumni Association, where he demonstrated his support for the institution’s growth and development.
