Jonas Dan, who has also joined the league of celebrities that had ventured into politics, hinted the anger for desired change that we have longed for as a country and the long patience for a better Nigeria that had not yielded anything informed his passion to venture into politics.
“So, I developed interest to change the tide and lead by example; to lead generation that will not be afraid to take a step in the right direction to give hope for the hopeless and voice for the voiceless. I want to show Nigerians and the entire world that we still have people with great visions in the country. I want our fathers in the game to learn from us that we can do it better, as well as give them reasons to retire, knowing that the future of the country is safe in the hands of the younger generation,” he added.
He noted that plans had commenced for him to contest for the governorship election in Enugu State under the platform of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), adding that, he had greater vision to transform the state and Nigeria at large.
The Abuja-based musician told R that despite his political ambition music remained number one priority; just he noted that he would not dump of music, even if he becomes the president in the future.
