THE management of the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC), has sought the support and assistance of the Ogun State Police Command in delivering its service to the people of the state.
Stating this was the Chief Commercial Officer of the Company, Deolu Ijose, who led other management staff to the Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed Iliyasu, at the State Police Command headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta.
Ijose noted that the problem of epileptic power problem is not peculiar to IBEDC but to all other Discos in the country and therefore assured the determination of the company to improve on its services and ensure that customers get value for what they are paying for.
He explained that the Company is being confronted with the challenge of non-payment of service charge in terms of paying bills and others from its customers.

Ijose informed the Police boss of the activities of some members of the public in some parts of the State, especially Ota area against its business operations.
He noted that many of its officials were on daily basis brutalised in the cause of discharging their duties by miscreants.
Responding, CP Iliyasu promised to assist the company in protecting its property and advised the IBEDCÂ to strengthen its Public Relations Unit in achieving its goals.
He identified effective communication as a key ingredient needed by the company to strengthen the relationship with its customers and also urged the company to engage community leaders in its areas of coverage as well.
