The Eko O Gbagbere crooner, told R in his country home that the secrets of his still being relevant in the industry are of God, self-discipline and vision to produce good music.
The musician cum music producer, who will clock 88 in few weeks and who recently added another feather to his cap with the COSON award, says he wants to be remembered as a great music educationist, just as he charges young musicians to cultivate the habit of producing more quality music.
“I thank God for everything. I have enjoyed divine grace and I still pray for more grace. I have seen it all in life, both in my music career and personal life. Though I am a rugged person, it has been the grace of God to stand the test of time. I almost passed on a few months ago when I had a domestic accident in my house, but I thank God for the gift of life and speedy recovery. Ordinarily, I wouldn’t have been using stick at the moment. I know I will get over it soon,” he said.
