A civil servant, Adebayo Awogbemi has prayed an Ikole-Ekiti Customary Court in Ekiti State to dissolve his 14-year-old union with his wife, Odunola, over adultery.
Adebayo also seeks dissolution on the grounds of constant fighting.
He alleged that his wife was an adulterous woman.
The father of four children explained that he caught her red-handed with her lover on three different occasions.
According the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Adebayo told the court that the mother of his wife’s lover reported her to the Elekole of Ikole Ekiti, Oba AjibadeFasiku on February 2019.

“I collected a loan of N1 million to set up a business for my wife to make her comfortable but she started having a secret affair with another man in her shop,” he said.
He also complained that his wife took his four children out of their house on December 17, 2018 without his consent.
The petitioner told the court that he has been responsible for the feeding and payment of their children’s school fees.
Adebayo urged the court to grant him custody of his two sons to enable him take good care of them.
The court president, Mrs Yemisi Ojo, after hearing the petitioner’s testimony adjourned the case till March,11,for further hearing.
