Today, Matthew makes sure that his children enjoy a comfortable and secure childhood unlike his own. Poverty and substance abuse trapped him as a child. His life began in a trailer park, the child of addicted parents. Matthew studied in community schools and colleges but was never a studious person. He was more interested in programming, learning it himself at a young age. He dropped out of his university and pursued programming and coding that he had taught himself. He worked with different companies till he went to L.A to pursue acting. He worked in various films like Josie (2018), and Submergence (2017) with academy award winning filmmakers.
Despite a fine career in acting and programming, Matthew felt he lacked something. After his father’s demise, remorse engulfed him as he could not absorb the fact that his father died of drug overdose and spent a life that could have been so much better had he struggled.
Matthew aimed to give his own children a more purpose-driven life, and he wanted something that inspired him even on his worst days. It was his dad’s vintage Rolex that gave birth to the idea of a watch club, Watch Gang, a hundred-million-dollar company. With the help of struggle, faith, and determination, along with a constant yearning to improve, Matthew Gallagher has been fortunate to achieve so much in so little time.
