Herdsmen: What is the Federal Government waiting for?

LAST year when the Federal Government declared the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) as a terrorist group, I asked the government why the Fulani herdsmen were not equally declared terrorist group as well having enumerated their activities.

These activities range from killings, maiming, raping which includes both married and young ladies. It also includes the destruction of both cash and subsistence crops which can lead to famine and ultimately to death.

The area of operations of IPOB is restricted to the South East and not spread to all the states of the federation and not as deadly as the activities of the Fulani herdsmen.

The current wave of terror on innocent citizens of the country is more than BokoHaram which is at least restricted. What is the government waiting for before declaring the herdsmen terrorists? Or is this group enjoying immunity from any quarter? What is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander.

Action should quickly be taken to proscribe the Miyetti Allah group and be equally declared as explosive terrorist group of the ISIS status if we are to be seen as one nation and if the president should be seen as that of Nigeria and not of a section of Nigeria.
