Guber poll: Ondo RTEAN pledges support for Aiyedatiwa

Ahead of November 16 governorship election in Ondo, members of Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) in the state have thrown their weight behind Governor Lucky Aiyedayiwa’s aspiration, citing his unparalleled achievements across sectors in the state.

The Chairman of the drivers’ union in the state, Adewale Bolarinwa, who made this declaration after the meeting of the Union in Akure, the state capital, described Aiyedayiwa as worthy ambassador who believes in the transformation of the state.

Bolarinwa said members of RTEAN across the state have unanimously resolved to mobilize support for Aiyedatiwa to ensure victory in the election.

He said the Union would mobilise their family and friends to go out en masse to cast their votes massively to return the governor into office.

Bolarinwa who noted that the state has witnessed rapid development since the governor took over the mantle of leadership, saying he has done his best to reposition the state.

He said RTEAN remained committed to the ideals of democracy, good governance, and principles of liberty as enshrined in the nation’s constitution.

“It is our conviction that Aiyedatiwa has brought significant changes to Ondo State within a short period, especially in the areas of infrastructural development, human capital development, peace, and good governance.

“There is peace and sanity in the state. Workers and pensioners are being paid their monthly salaries and entitlements as when due.

“Communities are living in peace and Investors are leveraging on the new economic climate in the state and many more good things are happening

“It is because of Aiyedatiwa’s timely intervention that Ondo State remained safe during the last EndBadGovernance protest in the nation.

” Mr. Governor is loved by his people, and everyone must work assiduously for the success of his administration.

“Mr. Governor has been using his wealth of experience and human relations to stabilise the state politically and economically since he assumed office,” he added

The group however, stated they are ready for the election and eager to deliver votes across the state for the governor Aiyedatiwa, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, “who is well-prepared and equipped to lead Ondo State out of obscurity.

“Therefore, I, Comrade Adewale Bolarinwa, the State Chairman of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria, Ondo State Chapter, along with the entire members of RTEAN in Ondo, promised to mobilise, canvass, support, and vote for Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa”.
