THE Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers has congratulated Dr Kayode Fayemi and Chief Bisi Egbeyemi for their victories in the July 14 governorship election in the state.
The council, in a statement by its chairman and the Oloye of Oye Ekiti, Oba Oluwole Ademolaju, in Wednesday, after congratulating Dr Kayode Fayemi and Chief Bisi Egbeyemi, also congratulated Governor Ayodele Fayose, on the successes they Council said he recorded in the overall development of the state.
Oba Ademolaju, on behalf of the monarchs, also hailed Governor Fayose for sustaining peace enjoyed in the state.
The monarchs said the council equally thanks “all Ekiti people and the electorates for the maturity displayed to ensure peace before, during and after the gubernatorial election.
“May God Almighty continue to grant us peace, unity and progress so as to continue to witness all around development in Ekiti State.”

The council as well appreciated Dr Fayemi and all other governorship candidates on their peaceful conduct before, during and after the election.
The Ekiti traditional rulers re-emphasised the need for all to promote peace at all times in the interest of the state.
