The Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has provided an additional 65 vehicles across the 21 local government areas to curb insecurity in the state
The Director General, Kogi State Special Task Force on Illegal Smuggling of Firearms and Other Related Offences, Elder Friday Sani Makama, disclosed this while addressing newsmen in Lokoja.
He warned that those procuring arms, ammunition, and recruiting mercenaries with the intention of causing violence should desist from such acts, noting that anyone caught would face the full wrath of the law.
Makama said: “Nobody would come into Kogi State illegally with the aim of causing violence and go Scot free. Kogi State can never be a haven for criminal elements before, during, and after the forthcoming election.
That is the reason the present administration remains committed to protecting the lives and properties of its citizens.”
