Akinfenwa said this at the 13th Diocesan Jesus Festival thanksgiving service, at The Cathedral of St. James The Great, Oke-Bola, Ibadan, the Oyo Sate Capital, adding that the masses would experience an unprecedented victory.
“If not for God, the nation called Nigeria, world have gone into oblivion. We have begin to see their nefarious activities. We will experience victory over the activities of those who are responsible for ready the plight of the masses in 2019. God is set to move in a mighty way in Nigeria,” he added.

In his sermon on the occasion, the Bishop of Ile-Oluji Diocese, Right Reverend A. O. Ajibodu, entitled: ‘Peace, Be Still, said Nigerians should not lose hope because of the challenges of life.
“Obedience to the word of God do not stop us from experiencing certain challenges. We need to be conscious of self-review of storm. You need to look inward and ask yourself if you have contributed to what you are passing through,” he stated.
The bishop noted that the nation was passing through a political storm and prayed that God restore all the nation had lost, adding that as an individual and nation, there is no way that experiencing of storm will not occur.
“We need to know Christ as saviour. We need to have critical encounter with Him. The situation can cause you anxiety. Put your hope on Christ, He will surely visit you. Whatever might be the situation, the power of Christ will visit you in your area of need.”
Earlier on Saturday, the guest speaker at the finale of the 2018 Jesus Festival, at Cathedral open field, Ijokodo, Ibadan, verenable Nnaemeka Nwosu, of Lagos West, Anglican Communion, had said that there could not be peace if there is disorder, crisis and disharmony, adding that Christ would always protect His people during such situation.
While saying that peace was a set of calmness; Concord: divine order and as well as harmony, the cleric told faithful at the event that confesion and disharmony in their respective homes and their lives would come to an end.
He said that life without spiritual growth and focus was vanity, stressing that heaven was for those spiritually endowed.
