SENATORIAL candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Oyo Central, Teslim Folarin and Oyo North, Fatai Buhari have emerged winners in last Saturday’s senatorial election.
As announced by Professor Idowu Farai, at INEC office, Akinyele local government, for Oyo Central, APC polled 91,080 votes to defeat Bisi Ilaka of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which had 83,500 votes.

Senator Monsurat Sunmonu of African Democratic Congress (ADC) followed with 41,654 votes, while Temitope Olatoye of Action Democratic Party (ADP) had 41,377 votes.
In Oyo North, Fatai Buhari of the APC emerged victorious with 107,703 votes ahead of the PDP and its candidate, Mrs Mulikat Adeola-Akande who polled 89,365 votes.
As announced by the returning officer, Professor Jonathan Aileru, a candidate of Action Democratic Party (ADP), Mr Salaudeen Adeniyi, garnered 45, 225 votes while the candidate of Action Democratic Congress (ADC) Mr Bayo Lawal had 40,304 votes.
