Iris Attorneys LP has announced the successful candidates for its 2024 virtual internship programme, following a competitive application process. The law firm, known for its commitment to leveraging technology and providing high-quality legal services, launched the programme in July to offer law students practical legal experience.
The successful and selected interns are Khadeejah Raji, University of Ilorin; Favour Iruoma Lazarus, Nnamdi Azikwe University; Hannah Kintum, University of Benin; Hassan Babatunde, Fountain University, Osogbo; Mardhiyyah Akanbi, University of Ilorin; Loveth John, Ebonyi State University; Charity Bala-Abe, University of Lagos; Timilehin Adebiyi, Obafemi Awolowo University; Edeh Emmanuela Chinweoke, Ebonyi State University; and Chioma Cynthia Ominyi from the Ebonyi State University.
These students will participate in a four-week paid internship that provides exposure to legal practice in fields such as Litigation and Risk Management, Labour Law, and Corporate Governance. The programme will be held online, allowing students to work from anywhere in the country. This virtual format was implemented to reduce the financial strain on participants, particularly in light of rising transportation costs.
Ridwan Oke, the Principal Partner at Iris Attorneys LP, who posted on X (formerly Twitter) expressed satisfaction with the calibre of candidates selected, noting that the internship will equip them with the tools needed to excel in the legal profession. The programme will run from August through September and promises to offer a blend of mentorship, hands-on experience, and networking opportunities.
