Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu, said this when he received the Emir of Katagum, His Highness Umar Farouk II, in Abuja.
He also said the Federation Government was prepared to renovate all primary schools in Katagum Emirate Council of Bauchi to boost teaching, saying the Minister of State for Education, Professor Anthony Anwukah, would drive the process towards ensuring that the modernisation project is effectively carried out.
He pledged his support to the Emirate Council, particularly in the area of education, as it is the key to modernisation and enlightenment.

Adamu said the visit of the Emir was laudable, and that Umar Farouk had been outstanding having served the federal government as a director and subsequently retired as a permanent secretary whose wealth of experience had helped to put Katagum on the world map.
The emir, earlier in his remarks, said he was in the ministry to express appreciation to President Muhammadu Buhari for support and encouragement over the fire incident that gutted the Katagum main market as well as the flood disaster that affected many schools.
The Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Education, Mr Sonny Echono, recognised the critical role of traditional rulers in promoting quality education delivery and pledged continuous support of the ministry to traditional institutions in the country.
