THE Chief Press Secretary to Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, Uwakwe Abugu, is dead.
In a statement signed by the State Commissioner for Information, Ogbuagu Anikwe, on Tuesday, Abugu died Monday in a hospital in India during a protracted illness.
Governor Ugwuanyi on Tuesday visited late Abugu’s Enugu residence to condole with the family.
Late Abugu was appointed Chief Press Secretary in June, 2015.
Before his appointment, he was the Southeast Bureau Chief of New Telegraph Newspaper.
Burial arrangement is to be announced by the family, Anikwe added.
