THE National Universities Commission (NUC) has given approval to Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State, to run Human Physiology and Human Anatomy programmes at the undergraduate level.
This was disclosed by the university’s registrar, Mr Omololu Adegbenro, in a statement.
According to a letter addressed to the vice chancellor by the commission’s Director of Academic Planning, Dr Biodun Saliu, the approval followed the resource verification exercise conducted by the commission in April.
He said during the exercise, experts that were assembled to assess the university’s level of preparedness to commence the various programmes gave the university a clean bill.
According to the letter, the following additional postgraduate programmes were approved for the university with effect from the 2023/2024 academic session.
They include: Master and Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Engineering, and Automotive Engineering.
Others are Master and Doctor of Philosophy in Mass Communication and Tourism and Hospitality Management.
