The Eleruwa of Eruwa, Oba Samuel Adegbola, has called on the people of Eruwaland to embrace peace among themselves as this would bring further development to the community.
Oba Adegbola made the call during his 18th coronation anniversary thanksgiving service at Araromi Baptist Church, Oke-Oba, Eruwa in Ibarapa East Local Government Area of Oyo State.
He, however, appreciated the people of the community for their support since he became the king.
Also speaking, Chairman, Caretaker Committee of Ibarapa East Local Government Area, Mr Adeloore Atanda, lauded the traditional ruler for his efforts at transforming Eruwaland since he ascended the throne.
He added that the royal father’s achievements since he became king were too numerous to mention and prayed God to give him long life and good health.
The Right Reverend F.O. Okunlola, in his sermon, entitled: ‘Let us celebrate’, emphasised the reasons the traditional ruler and the people of Eruwa should celebrate, especially that the coronation anniversary of Oba Adegbola coincided with the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.
Also commenting, the Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Eruwa chapter, Senior Apostle Agbojulejesu, congratulated Oba Adegbola on God’s favour.
Dignitaries at the thanksgiving service were traditional rulers across the state, political officeholders, members of social groups, sons and daughters of Eruwa both at home and abroad, among others.
