Many Abayas we see every day are made out of cotton, polyester, rayon or blends of those fabrics. Abayas are made for dressy occasions such as parties, weddings, etc.
Abayas are known by various names but serve the same purpose, which is to cover. Other Abaya styles are front open and front closed Abaya. This is what the Muslims wear mostly on ileya festival. Some of them put on Jalamia which is a religious attire along with a little fez cap. They are cool clothing to wear because they are pretty sleek and really feel comfortable on the body but it is different from Abayas.
Additional Abayas are black and may be either a large square of fabric draped from the shoulders or head or a long kaftan. The Abaya covers the whole body except the head, feet, and hands. It can be worn with the Niqab, a face veil covering all but the eyes. Some women also wear long black gloves, so their hands are covered as well.
