Some of my friends told me that when some stuff such as lemon grass, garlic and dongoyaro leaves among others are added to boiling water or steam and inhaled, they have the ability to kill the Coronavirus in one’s throat and air passages. How true is this?

Although it has been confirmed that steam therapy can help clear thick mucus from the throat and air passages in cases of cold or flu attacks, current scientific studies have not confirmed the effectiveness of the therapy for the treatment of Coronavirus. As of today, the World Health Organization (WHO) and other scientific bodies have not confirmed steam therapy with any ingredient as a cure for the COVID-19 infection.
