Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State has said that governance would have been cumbersome but it has been made easy by the support and reliability of his deputy, Rear Admiral Gboribiogha John Jonah (retrd); and it account for the successful completion of several projects by the Restoration Government.
This, Dickson said while felicitating with his deputy on his 63rd birthday held in Yenagoa.
He described John Jonah a dependable ally in the restoration government, extolling is dexterity and commitment to duty even when is outside the state to attend to pressing assignment at the federal level.
The Governor, alluded that there is always no anxiety about the working of government in the state in his absent, because of the high level sense of duty, zeal and sacrifice that his deputy often exhibit at all times.
Dickson reiterated that for the past five years, while some Chief Executive may have changed their deputy, himself and John Jonah is still standing strong administering the state and delivering on the campaign promises made by the Restoration government to Bayelsans.
“I acknowledged your continued loyalty, dedication and solidarity in the service of the state, you have been a strong pillar in the restoration administration over this past 5 years” The Governor submitted.
Dickson, who identify with his deputy’s proud and numerous achievements within and outside government, lauded his sense of loyalty and reliability to the government and people of the state.
His words “Your spirit, drive and hard work have added value to our government, in view of your invaluable contributions to the development of our dear our state”.
To this end, He wished John Jonah good health, happiness, more grace in his service to the state and country.
In a related development, the commissioner for information and Orientation, Hon. Jonathan Obuebite, he described the Deputy Governor as a man of utmost humility, obedience and diligence to work, which has endeared him to the heart of his principal, Governor Seriake Dickson and the entire people of the state.
Obuebite commended the deputy governor for bringing to bare his wealth of experience as retired military personnel in the fight against corrupt and sharp practices, even for the sustained peace in the state.
He, however, added that the history of Bayelsa will not be complete without mentioning your immense contribution to its industrial growth, and prayed God to re- energize him in the discharge of his constitutional responsibility.
