The national leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) joins in celebrating the 64th birthday of Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.
CAN in a statement signed by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, said the First Lady has shown a strong commitment to various social causes, particularly in agriculture, women’s empowerment, education, healthcare, and philanthropy.
CAN further stated that her efforts in these critical sectors are commendable and reflect a deep understanding of the challenges facing our nation.
“However, it is crucial to acknowledge the pressing issues many Nigerians face today. Rising inflation, insecurity, and the ongoing struggle for basic necessities have significantly impacted countless families.
“As we celebrate the First Lady’s contributions, we must also call for renewed dedication from all levels of government to address these pressing concerns.
“We encourage the First Lady to continue her advocacy for the marginalized and voiceless, ensuring their needs and aspirations are prioritized in national discourse. We hope her influence can help catalyze positive change, fostering a Nigeria where every citizen can thrive in peace and prosperity.
“As we honour her, let us reflect on our collective responsibility to uplift one another and work towards a brighter future for all Nigerians. Happy Birthday, Your Excellency Oluremi Tinubu. May your journey ahead be filled with purpose and grace”, the statement added.
