In the Lagos social circle at the moment, the biggest tale hovers around the Head of service to the State government, Hakeem Muri Okunola.
The first son of late Justice Muritala Okunola served as a Personal Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, when he was the Governor of Lagos State.
Now, the news around town is that the 51-year-old popularly called ‘HMO’ by his friends and associates is heading to Abuja for a bigger assignment in the Presidency.
Okunola, a lawyer was promoted to the position of the Head of Service by then Governor Akinwumi Ambode in 2018 after a stint at the Ministry of Lands.
HMO is regarded as one of the architects of modern Lagos and an influential person in government affairs.
