The Director of Radio Biafra in London, Nnamdi Kanu, on Monday, eve of the celebration of 50 years of declaration of Biafra Republic by Late Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, stormed the scene of the allegedly killed members of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) at Eke Nkpor and St Edmond Catholic church premises, Nkpor, Idemili North Local Government Area, Anambra state, prayed for the repose of their souls.
Kanu who drove to the scene at about 8.00pm, in a convoy of four vehicles, urged bereaved families of the deceased to take heart as the Lord God would in His infinite mercy grant them eternal rest for fighting a just cause.
The Radio Biafra Director who dressed in Jewish attire, wore a pale face when he came visiting.
According to sources he resolved to storm the scene in the night to avoid rush to physically see him by those who have not seen him since Adam.
After the visit he left for Aguleri that same night and back to Abia state.
All the business activities were paralysed in Anambra state because of the sit-at-home order by Biafra group, residents seen in groups discussing the anniversary in their homes over some bottles of beer.
Meanwhile, an ugly incident allegedly happened on Tuesday while IPOB celebrated in commemoration of the 50 years of the declaration of Biafra, agitators defaced the wife of an Onitsha based legal practitioner, Bar Obiora Nweze with a broken bottle.
According to impeccable sources, the Biafra agitators numbering about 15, had a misunderstanding among themselves along Bida road Onitsha, which led to a free-for-all fight and as some ran into the compound of the lawyer, he quickly asked them to leave to avoid holding him responsible in the event of any unexpected occurrence.
Some of them then took offence that he was accusing them of being irresponsible and started throwing pebbles that included bottles at him and inside the compound and the wife was touched, her face cut with broken bottle and she has been rushed to a nearby hospital where she is placed under danger list.
