The Benue State House of Assembly, on Thursday, approved the nomination of the former Chief Press Secretary to Governor Samuel Ortom, Terver Akase, as Special Adviser.
Akase had in September 2021 resigned from his appointment as the Chief Press Secretary to pursue his governorship aspiration.
The former Chief Press Secretary had poised for a greater outing in his aspiration before the party zoning arrangements knocked him out of the race.
Though he hails from the intermediate bloc Jechira which comprises Konshisha and Vandeikya LGAs the PDP zoned the governorship to but lost out when it was microzone to Vandeikya local government.
The State Governor, Samuel Ortom, had last week declared that he would reabsorb all his appointees not favoured by the party zoning arrangements.
When contacted, Akase confirmed his nomination by the state assembly, saying, “The House of Assembly just approved my nomination this morning.”
