Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State has relaxed the curfew imposed on the state in the wake of a deepening security crisis.
The relaxation of the curfew time from its hitherto 10 pm to 6 am, to now 12 midnight to 6 am, the governor said was occasioned by the improved security situation across the state.
In a press statement endorsed by Christian Ita, Special Adviser On Media and Publicity said that “following a review of the security situation in the state, the state Governor, His Excellency, Sir Ben Ayade has ordered an immediate relaxation of the 10 pm to 6 am curfew in the state.
“Consequently, restriction of movement is now between the hours of 12 midnight and 6 am, with effect from today, Monday 2nd of August 2021.
“Members of the public can therefore go about their normal and lawful businesses between 6 am and 12midnight.”
